It's impossible to bet against Nikola Jokic right now, as he's delivering some of the best performances of his career. Jokic has been on an incredible tear, scoring at least 48 points in back-to-back games while also dishing out eight assists—a rare feat for a center. Adding to his versatility, he's averaging 2.2 three-pointers per game, shooting a remarkable 50.0% from beyond the arc. While the Nuggets don't cover every spread, this matchup presents a clear advantage. The Clippers simply don’t have the personnel to contain Jokic. Ivica Zubac is a serviceable big man, but he lacks the defensive prowess to neutralize Jokic, especially given the latter's ability to operate effectively both inside and on the perimeter. The Clippers' lack of depth in the frontcourt exacerbates the issue. With Derrick Jones Jr. sidelined, and Nicolas Batum often being the next-biggest player at just 6'8", Jokic will have a field day exploiting mismatches. Even if Jamal Murray doesn't suit up for Denver, Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. should be more than capable of shouldering the offensive load.
