Dobbins had been a critical part of the Chargers’ offense, racking up 766 rushing yards and eight touchdowns over 11 games. Without him, the Chargers' ground game faltered last Sunday, and they face an even tougher challenge against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that allows only 3.7 yards per carry. For the Chargers to compete in this road matchup, they’ll need to rely heavily on their passing attack. However, that might not be enough against the Chiefs' formidable defense. While Los Angeles has the defensive tools to slow Kansas City's high-powered offense, they’ll need consistent chain-moving drives and efficient scoring to have a shot at covering the spread. Patrick Mahomes has been uncharacteristically prone to turnovers this season with 11 interceptions, but it’s unlikely he’ll repeat the kind of disastrous outing that would keep the Chargers in the game. Even when Los Angeles won the turnover battle 2-0 in their Week 4 meeting, they still fell short by seven points. The Chiefs outgained the Chargers in that matchup, racking up 329 total yards compared to just 224 for Los Angeles.
