San Francisco will likely debut newly acquired Rafael Devers in this matchup, giving their lineup a needed power boost. Cleveland starter Slade Cecconi has been sharp in his last two outings, allowing only three total runs. However, Cleveland’s bats went completely cold in both games, failing to score a single run. Expect another quality start from Cecconi, but once again, he won’t get the help he needs. Robbie Ray has had a strong season for the Giants and should bounce back from his recent shaky appearance. Combine that with the MLB’s top-ranked bullpen, and San Francisco should do just enough offensively to claim the win in the series opener against a slumping Guardians squad.
