The Giants have certainly shown they can deliver strong performances on the road, and there’s reason to believe they'll offer solid betting value away from home throughout the season. That said, when Jordan Hicks is on the mound, my confidence drops. While Hicks brings serious velocity and can be electric at times, his high-octane approach often leads to early fatigue and command issues. That pattern reared its head in his last outing, and historically, he hasn’t fared well against the Phillies — getting knocked around in his only career start against them.
On the other side, I’m much more confident backing the Giants when they’re facing right-handed pitchers. Unfortunately for them, they’ll be dealing with lefty Cristopher Sanchez, who is quickly becoming one of the more reliable southpaws in the league. Sanchez has been effective at keeping hitters off balance and has shown impressive poise early this season. With the pitching edge and some momentum, I’m leaning toward the Phillies to grab the win and secure the series split. Take Philadelphia ML
