I've backed the Clippers in every game of this series so far, and it's paid off nicely with a 3-1 record against the spread. Heading into Game 5, I’m sticking with Los Angeles once again, especially with the line hovering around a pick’em. I still believe the Clippers are the more complete squad, with a coaching edge that shouldn't be overlooked in these tight playoff battles.
The Nuggets' depth concerns me more with each game. Their already thin bench has taken another hit with Russell Westbrook battling a foot injury — he’s officially questionable for this matchup. As the series grinds deeper, I have far more trust in the Clippers' elite top-five defense to deliver crucial stops late in the game. Offensively, Kawhi Leonard continues to look like the championship-caliber star he is, pouring in 26.5 points per contest during the series.
